The Los Angeles drafted Darrell Henderson with the 70th overall pick but General Manager Les Snead is already putting some high expectations on him saying the former Memphis Tigers could give them an Alvin Kamara element.

In a video posted on Twitter Snead and Sean McVay are seen discussing Henderson and it's clear that Snead has high hopes for him.

“The Memphis guy does give you a Kamara element. I won’t get off of that, won’t say it, we’ll play against him and you’ll feel it,” Snead said.

The Rams have made it clear they are concerned about Todd Gurley's knee and will probably try to limit how many touches he gets next season to try and save him for later in the season. Last season he was the bell cow all season and once the playoffs rolled around, Gurley couldn't play effectively because he was hurt.

It's unclear how much the Rams plan on using Henderson this upcoming season but with the team looking at getting some rest for Gurley there is no doubt that Henderson is going to get his chances. As a rookie Kamara had 120 rushing attempts and caught 81 passes out of the backfield and that might be a good starting point for Henderson this season.

Even if he doesn't' get that many attempts Snead might be onto something here with the comparison. Henderson is really good out of the backfield catching passes and he is going to be a really good change of pace from Gurley.
