The Los Angeles Rams are set to host veteran outside linebacker Junior Galette for a visit on Sunday, Adam Schefter of ESPN reports.

Galette, 31, has been on the market since the Washington Redskins decided to pull their contract offer for him back in March.

The veteran had visited with the Raiders and also had a couple other teams in the mix for his services. He hasn’t received much interest over the past few months, though, which led him to consider retirement. But with the Rams expressing their interest, it doesn’t appear as if Galette is going to call it quits just yet.

Galette made a successful return last year after missing two full seasons in 2015 and 2016 due to Achilles tears. He played all 16 games for the Redskins as a rotational pass rusher, recording three sacks and 20 tackles.

Prior to his unfortunate injuries, Galette proved to be quite a productive pass rusher. He posted back-to-back double-digit sack seasons in his last two years with the New Orleans Saints.

The Rams could certainly use another edge rusher of Galette’s experience and quality after they lost both Robert Quinn and Connor Barwin this offseason. Matt Longacre and Samson Ebukam are expected to be the team’s starters at outside linebacker this season.
