After an illustrious 16-year career Los Angeles Rams icon Andrew Whitworth decided to hang it up at the end of the 2022 season. It was the perfect time to call it quits right after winning his first-ever Super Bowl trophy.

Whitworth is now taking the first step in his post-NFL career. This comes in the form of a broadcasting job with the Amazon Prime sports division. The 40-year-old himself made this announcement in an official press release, via Stu Jackson of The Rams' official website:

“I'm excited to start this next chapter of my NFL life with the Prime Video team, and I look forward to being part of football in a whole new way this fall,” Whitworth said in the release.

Marie Donoghue, Prime Video's Vice President for Global Sports Video, shared her thoughts on Andrew Whitworth's arrival to the team and what they expect from him once he's in the booth:

“We are thrilled to announce these new additions to our Thursday Night Football team,”  Donoghue said in the same release. “Kaylee Hartung will bring her world-class reporting skills to our game coverage every Thursday and Super Bowl winning Pro Bowlers Andrew Whitworth and Aqib Talib are proven champions who will bring their unique insights to our NFL coverage every week.”

NFL On Prime Video even came out with a hype video to announce Whitworth's foray into the world of sports broadcasting:

Whitworth started his career with the Cincinnati Bengals as a second-round pick in the 2006 NFL Draft. He spent the first 11 years of his career with the Bengals before making the move to LA in 2017. The former LSU standout is a four-time Pro Bowler and a two-time All-Pro team member.
