Matthew Stafford made the most of his first chance to truly contend for a Super Bowl. He led the star-studded Los Angeles Rams to Super Bowl 56 and will get the chance to secure his first-ever title against the Cincinnati Bengals while etching his name in the history books due to his strong postseason performances.

Although the 34-year-old Stafford led the NFL interceptions this season, he has been a huge part of the Rams' offense. He threw 41 touchdowns and 4,886 yards this season, which both ranked in the top three leaguewide. Feeding Cooper Kupp, Robert Woods, Van Jefferson, Odell Beckham Jr. and Tyler Higbee helped the Rams become one of the best offenses in the league.

Despite Stafford's age and turnover proneness, LA wants to keep him around for the near future. NFL Network's Ian Rapoport reports that Stafford and the Rams are expected to work on a contract extension this offseason.

The Rams pushed all their chips in to get to this Super Bowl. They dished just about every meaningful draft pick they could to build the team they have now. Their moves paid off, as they are set to play for the ultimate prize. They made it to the Super Bowl in the 2018 season only to come up short. Now, they get a crack at redeeming their embarrassing performance against the New England Patriots.

The chances that the Rams play better in the Super Bowl this time around are much-improved thanks to Stafford.
