Prior to taking the field on Monday for his first game with the Los Angeles Rams, Odell Beckham Jr. issued a bold promise to LA fans and some sort of warning for the Arizona Cardinals.

Beckham, who joined the Rams recently after clearing waivers, talked to NFL reporter Josina Anderson and shared some of his bold aspirations in LA. He expressed how ecstatic he is to join the franchise before emphasizing his goal to get closer to the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC West.

Entering Monday Night Football against the San Francisco 49ers, the 7-2 Rams are just one win away from the 8-2 Cardinals, who lost to the Carolina Panthers on Sunday.

“I'm excited, I'm not going to lie. It feels good here…I'm going to do whatever coach calls me to do…I'm looking forward to the opportunity to get closer to the Cardinals in the division,” Beckham said.

There are high expectations on the Rams after their recent free agent acquisitions of outside linebacker Von Miller and wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. OBJ was uncertain to play against the 49ers since it has been less than a week since he joined the team, but after the injury to Robert Woods, it was made clear his presence was needed.

It remains to be seen how OBJ will perform for the Rams moving forward, but all eyes will certainly be on him as he starts anew on a contending team.
