Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua was on the podcast of Las Vegas Raiders defensive end Maxx Crosy and gave insight in to what to expect out of his teammate in star pass-catcher Cooper Kupp. There is no doubt that the two were a must watch receiver duo in the league where the fall of 2024 could cause major problems for opposing defenses.

While they both had productive seasons, it was a mixed bag for Kupp as he had to deal with a nagging hamstring injury that he sustained during the summer that eventually kept him out for the first four games of the season. Unfortunately, it was one of many injuries Kupp had suffered as an ankle issue ended his 2022 season.

Slightly bittersweet as when Kupp missed time to begin the season, Nacua broke out and became one of the league's top promising receivers and has high expectations going into the fall. On Crosby's show, the former rookie mentioned how he has been training with Kupp and that “he's on a revenge tour.”

“I’ve been training with Coop so it’s been good. He’s on a revenge tour. He’s been able to get a healthy offseason and stuff so he’s back at it,” Nacua said.

Nacua talks about Kupp being one of the top five receivers in the NFL

Last season, Kupp caught 59 passes for 737 yards and five touchdowns in the 12 games played for the Rama which was better than the nine contests the year before. When healthy, Kupp is one of the league's top receivers as he made his mark in 2021 where he played all 17 and caught a whopping 145 passes for 1,947 yards and including the postseason, it is an NFL history mark at 2,425.

As for Nacua, he put Kupp in the top five receivers in the game, but has him at No. 5 per Crosby's podcast. The other receivers on the list are ranked in order with Minnesota Vikings' Justin Jefferson, Ja'Marr Chase of the Cincinnati Bengals, Miami Dolphins' Tyreek Hill, and Davante Adams of the Las Vegas Raiders rounding out the list.

Nacua talks about preparation for next season with the Rams

Nacua's rookie season for Los Angeles was exceptional in its own right as he caught 105 passes for 1,486 yards and six touchdowns. He has also been putting in work along with Kupp and even mentioned on Crosby's podcast that he has “slimmed down a little bit from what I was.”

“I’ve slimmed down a little bit from what I was. I was pretty heavy,” Nacua said. “The game was physical, I definitely feel like I played the game physical but I feel like I could maybe lose a couple pounds. Last season, I was close to like 220 for most of the season. I was up there. I’m probably around 210 right now. I feel a lot better.”

The Rams are trying to bounce back after being eliminated in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs by the Detroit Lions. Hoping to be fully healthy, Los Angeles is also trying to improve within the NFC West as they were second at a 10-7 record behind the San Francisco 49ers.
