For the third time this season, the Los Angeles Rams will meet the San Francisco 49ers, as they are set to face off in next week’s NFC Championship game.

The Rams booked their ticket to the second NFC title game in the Sean McVay era following their dramatic 30-27 NFC divisional round win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. In a contest that was filled with fireworks on both sides of the ball, Rams defensive tackle Aaron Donald managed to once again shine for the NFC West powerhouse, as he logged three quarterback hits and one sack.

Donald is now looking ahead to the trilogy matchup with the 49ers, as he hopes to have the last laugh in the end.

“If you were going to write a book, this is how you’d write a book,” Donald said about next week’s playoff clash against the 49ers.

“To get to where we want to get to, we gotta beat that team.”

The 49ers have won six straight games over the Rams, which has included securing the season sweep against them in this past regular season. Donald was all over the place at the line of scrimmage in both meetings, although he was held without a sack in the contests.

Overall, Donald heads into this clash with the Rams’ division rival in promising form, which has included recording 1.5 sacks in the playoffs this season. The Rams sure will need the three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year winner to elevate his play next week.
