Los Angeles Rams star defensive tackle Aaron Donald was ready for combat as he got into a minor scuffle with New York Giants offensive lineman Nick Gates before getting separated by their teammates (via NFL on ClutchPoints).

Considering the height and possible weight difference between the two, this may of been a fight that Donald should've sat out. However, anyone that's familiar with the Rams two-time Defensive Player of the Year's demeanor knows that he's not one to back down from a confrontation, though it appears from the video that he initiated contact after the play by poking Gates through his face mask.

The Rams will need that type of physicality to power the team to another NFC West title after missing the postseason last year.

The Rams will look to hold off a last-minute comeback by the Giants as they close out the third quarter going into the fourth after dropping their Week 3 contest with the Buffalo Bills.
