One of the best scorers in this generation is a 6 foot 3 point guard named Wardell Stephen Curry. Nobody in the history of the NBA has put points on the board the way Curry does, so much so that it has landed him two regular-season MVP awards and three NBA championships.

In Curry's career, he has reached several milestones, and scoring 50 points or more is something the Bay Area legend has done 10 times. That's the fourth-most out of all active players and ranks 10th in the NBA all-time.

In honor of Curry's most recent 50-point performance against the Atlanta Hawks, I ranked the three best 50-plus points games of the GOAT shooter.

Stephen Curry's Greatest 50-Point Games

3. 54 points in Madison Square Garden

In 2013 Curry put together one of many legendary performances inside the mecca of basketball, Madison Square Garden. He poured in 54 points in a losing effort against Carmelo Anthony and the New York Knicks.

You might be wondering why is a game the Warriors lost on this list. It's semi because it happened on my birthday, but the real reason is it was his first-ever 50 point game.

In this game, a few things happened , one of which was he knocked down a mind-boggling 11 triples. Then one of the funniest moments in his career occurred. After his 49th point on a made three, teammate Draymond Green tried to high-five Curry, but he accidentally overlooked Green. It led to a hilarious look on his teammate's face.

It was one of the only things he missed that night in New York. He also did this wearing a pair of Nike shoes. It was before he signed with Under Armour.

2. Career-high 62 points

The most incredible show in basketball is Stephen Curry. As he approaches the end of his prime, he's still dominating games. Last season, he cashed in on a new career-high, scoring 62 points against Damian Lillard and the Portland Trail Blazers.

This game is the second-best because people were starting to consider Lillard the better point guard compared to Curry. So it was a statement game for No. 30. Curry struggled at the beginning of the season, but this game set the pace for an incredible year. He ended the year with a career-high 32.0 points to lead the NBA in scoring.

It solidified him as the best point guard in the league, and Curry let the world know he didn't appreciate the disrespect he received. He mentioned seeing the Jordan crying memes and said he took it personally. Curry is the perfect example of the saying “I'm not a killer but don't push me.”

1. 50 points vs. Hawks

My favorite 50-point game by Curry was his most recent on Monday night. It was against Trae Young and the Atlanta Hawks. This game was fantastic because it happened against Young, who has a similar style of play.

They both came out firing in the first half of the game–each scored over 20 points. Curry had 24, and Young put up 21. It was in the third quarter where Curry separated himself from his protégé. He scored 18 points as the Warriors took over the game after being down by as much as 15 at one point.

Two things made this game take the number one spot on my list. It was the first 50-point game of the 2021-22 season, and it was my first time seeing Curry score 50 points in person.

Curry has scored 50 points or more 10 times in his career, and these are my Top 3. What are your favorite 50-point games?
