The Baltimore Ravens have just not had a good couple of weeks. JK Dobbins, Justice Hill, Marcus Peters, and Gus Edwards have all suffered devastating injuries. After the news came on Thursday about both Edwards and Peters potentially suffering ACL injuries, Baltimore headed to the drawing board to add another running back.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Ravens have signed Devonta Freeman to the practice squad with the intention of bringing him to the 53-man roster.

That didn't take very long. Remember, the Ravens worked out both Freeman and Le'Veon Bell after Hill was injured and they ultimately decided to bring on Bell. Well, now they are both there, and the Ravens' running back room looks incredibly different in just a matter of days.

Freeman was recently cut from the New Orleans Saints but now lands on the job with the Ravens due to a number of injuries in what has been a dreadful preseason for Lamar Jackson and his team.

Whether or not Freeman can provide at a quality level remains to be seen, but they had to do something with their season opener on Monday night against the Las Vegas Raiders. The Ravens running backs are most likely going to be Bell, Freeman, and rookie Ty'Son Williams, for now, at least.
