It was discovered before Tuesday's clash between the Baltimore Ravens and the Dallas Cowboys that Dez Bryant tested positive for COVID-19 in pregame warmups. As a result of his sudden positive test, Bryant is seemingly calling it quits for the rest of the season.

Of course, the Ravens have been dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak on the roster in recent weeks. A total of 20+ players and coaches tested positive for COVID-19, including the reigning NFL MVP in Lamar Jackson.

For weeks, Bryant has been excited to get an opportunity to face his former team. Bryant spent the first eight years of his career in the NFL with the Cowboys, but injuries led to his release from the team after the 2017 season.

In the time leading up to the game, the Ravens didn't believe they had any more positive tests occur within the organization. However, Bryant apparently had issues with his test on Tuesday morning, and would later be pulled from pre-game warmups after his results came back positive.

The veteran wideout has put a ton of effort into making a return to the NFL, which resulted in him signing to Baltimore's practice squad earlier this season. Sadly, the latest hurdle for Bryant is making him lean toward not playing another down for the Ravens this season.

The Ravens and Cowboys are being allowed to go ahead with their game by the NFL, which is being shown on FOX. The Cowboys need to pull an upset to keep pace with the New York Giants and Washington Football Team, who both scored big surprise wins in Week 13 of the season to move to the top of the NFC East.
