The Baltimore Ravens are reloading after a successful 2023-24 season. Baltimore is returning many stout contributors, including the reigning NFL MVP. Lamar Jackson is attacking offseason training with a purpose and is turning heads with his impressive weight loss.

Jackson was spotted with a slimmer physique during the Ravens' early-summer training activities, as shown by SportsCenter on Instagram.

Jackson's arms look leaner than in 2023, and that was not done by accident. The reigning NFL MVP has intentionally lost 10 pounds so far during the offseason. He dropped his weight to 205 pounds, 20 pounds lower than what he was in 2022, per Dianna Russini of The Athletic.

Lamar Jackson's weight loss could see him be faster than ever. If his speed improves for the 2024-25 season, opposing defenses will be in trouble.

Jackson is coming off an incredible year. In 16 games played, Jackson accumulated 3,678 passing yards, 24 touchdowns, and boasted a QBR of 64.7. His versatile skillset was shown by his rushing stats of 821 yards and five TDs. The 27-year-old was vital to Baltimore's 13-4 regular season record.

Jackson's efforts earned him his second MVP award after his first in 2019. Thus, the coveted quarterback became the 11th player to be awarded the prestigious honor multiple times. He joined a list headlined by Tom Brady, Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, Jim Brown, Brett Favre, Johnny Unitas, Patrick Mahomes, Joe Montana, Steve Young and Kurt Young.

Jackson and the Ravens are working hard during summer training to take the NFL by storm during the upcoming season. Baltimore's returning players combined with their new stars should see the time make a deep run.

Ravens reload hard for 2024-25

Baltimore did not have the 2023-24 finish they were hoping for. They finished the regular season as the top team in the competitive AFC North. However, after a hard-fought first-round victory, the Ravens lost 17-10 to the Kansas City Chiefs in the conference championship.

The defeat prompted Baltimore to upgrade their roster during the offseason, but they did more than that. They took their offense to a new level by adding former Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry.

Henry had a stellar several-year run with the Titans. Most notably, Henry amassed one of the most dominant rushing seasons in NFL history in 2020. The Alabama product ran for 2,027 yards and 17 touchdowns.

Unsurprisingly, Henry continues to reign as one of the league's best rushers in 2024. He comes off a season where he ranked second in rushing yards (1,167) and tied for seventh in TDs (12). Henry looks to add a massive boost to Baltimore's offense.

With Lamar Jackson's scrambling ability, and Henry's dominant ground game, it would not be surprising to see the Ravens have the best rushing offense in the NFL during the 2024-25 season. Of course, their passing attack will remain stout with their returning receiving personnel.

Zay Flowers is returning as the team's top wide receiver. Flowers amassed 858 yards and five TDs on 77 receptions. The former Boston College star is just scratching the surface of what he can do, given he will be starting his second year in the Fall of 2024.

All in all, it will be interesting to see how the Ravens fare as they approach an exciting season.
