Trent Williams has finally been given permission from the Washington Redskins to seek a trade and he figures to have a few possible suitors. According to Ben Standig of The Athletic, the Houston Texans and Arizona Cardinals are two teams that could pursue Williams.

The Texans traded for Laremy Tunsil before the 2019 season in an attempt to shore up their offensive line. After a slow start to the season, Tunsil began to show why the Texans were willing to surrender two first-round picks for the former member of the Miami Dolphins.

Provided that, it is interesting that Houston would consider making a move for Williams. Williams, who has spent nine seasons with the Redskins, is itching to get back on the field after sitting out the entire 2019 season.

Prior to the 2019 season, Williams was a seven-time Pro Bowler in Washington. In his prime, there weren't many left tackles that were better than Williams in the NFL.

Even though the Redskins are allowing him to find a trade partner, it remains to be seen what Washington wants in return. Seeing that the Texans don't have a first-round pick in the next two years, Houston could offer a second-round pick instead.

Besides the Texans, the Cardinals are also a team that could make a run at the veteran left tackle. But with Arizona re-signing D.J. Humphries, it is unclear what their level of interest is. Also, the New York Jets are expected to be in contention to make a trade for Williams.

With a weak free agency class of left tackles, Williams could command a ton of interest on the trade market. At the same time, the timing of the trade could depend on what the Redskins' asking price entails.
