The Seattle Seahawks have signed Greg Olsen ahead of free agency, and it's a move that we should've seen coming before Tuesday. Before signing with the Seahawks, Olsen hinted at signing with Seattle two weeks ago via his Twitter account.

The veteran tight end signed with the Seahawks for one year, and the deal is worth $7 million. As Adam Schefter pointed out, Olsen was definitely foreshadowing when he sent the tweet two weeks ago.

Shortly before the Super Bowl, the Carolina Panthers and Olsen thought it was best to part ways. Therefore, the Panthers released him after he spent nine seasons with the organization.

Due to being released ahead of free agency, Olsen was given the opportunity to find his next team earlier than others. Following his release, Olsen met with the Washington Redskins, Buffalo Bills, and the Seahawks. Ultimately, Olsen thought the Seahawks give him the best chance to win a Super Bowl in 2020.

Despite having three different quarterbacks in 2019, Olsen still finished with 52 receptions for 592 yards and two touchdowns. Without a doubt, Olsen can still be a reliable target at tight end even at 35-years-old.

At the same time, Olsen gives the Seahawks a veteran leader in the locker room. The signing of Olsen is just the beginning of what is shaping up to be an eventful offseason for Seattle.

Considering that the Redskins and the Bills were his other choices, it's likely best he chose Seattle. After all, he isn't going to find many teams with a better quarterback than Russell Wilson.
