Seattle Seahawks running back Chris Carson prematurely left in the fourth quarter of their Week 3 game against the Dallas Cowboys due to a sustained ankle injury on a suspect tackle.
According to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, Carson suffered some degree of a knee sprain, but he could return to the field “shortly.” He will be having an MRI today to determine the extent of the damage, but it appears he avoided the worse.
The running back got entangled with Cowboys defensive tackle Trysten Hill and twisted his leg in the process. Rapoport also suggests that Hill will likely be fined, but not suspended.
The former UCF Knight had a rough night all together as he was also flagged for roughing the passer for a helmet-to-helmet hit on Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson later in the fourth quarter, which could accrue another fine for him.

Wideout Tyler Lockett had a big game after tallying 100 receiving yards on 9 touches along with three receiving touchdowns. Sophomore wide receiver D.K. Metcalf recorded 110 receiving yards on 4 receptions and a scored touchdown for the Seahawks as well.
Tight end Jacob Hollister also found himself open on the endzone as he scored a touchdown via a lone reception. The team's scoring attack proved to be dangerous as they dealt the Cowboys a 38-31 loss to preserve their immaculate record.
Even without their top running back, Seahawks head coach Pete Carroll and the rest of the team will aim to steamroll against the Miami Dolphins on October 4.
