Seattle Seahawks safety Jamal Adams is gearing up for his first-ever playoff game in his NFL career. One of the better tactics that Adams is employing is through buttering himself up before the Seahawks' bout against the Los Angeles Rams on Saturday.
Adams has been dealing with a few injuries this season, most recently a couple of nagging shoulder injuries. Let him tell it, however, none of the above will keep him from being on the field come Saturday for the Seahawks.
“It’s just another challenge, man,” Adams said Wednesday in regards to his shoulder, per PFT's Curtis Crabtree. “I'm a savage, bro. I’m a warrior, man. It doesn't matter. Whatever it takes. It's not about me. It's always gonna be bigger than me. It's about this team. It's about my brothers. It's about my family back home, my why. . . . I'm excited for this opportunity.”
It should be heavily noted that Adams also missed four games throughout the Seahawks' regular season as he dealt with a groin injury. His most recent injury came against the San Francisco 49ers during a block attempt, leaving his left shoulder to be the latest victim of his injury report.
With all that in mind, Adams isn't ready to throw in the towel in what could be the most important game of the young Seahawks safety career so far:
“No question in my mind, I'm playing, man,” Adams stated. “Look, as long as these legs are moving man, as long as my faith is with the man upstairs, which is very strong, I'm gonna be out there. So there was never no doubt in my mind that I wasn't playing, so let's get that out there. I’m full go.”
Adams and the Seahawks will kick off what's hoped to be a deep playoff run in an NFC Wild Card face-off against the Rams on Saturday at 1:40 pm PST.
