The Seattle Seahawks lost two franchise icons this offseason. With Russell Wilson heading to the Denver Broncos and Bobby Wagner being released, it seems like the team is about to begin a hard rebuild. Quandre Diggs, who re-signed with Seattle as a free agent, doesn't see it like that.

According to ESPN's Brady Henderson, Diggs said that the Seahawks are not entering rebuild mode despite the departures of the team's two biggest stars.

“It's the business at NFL and you see Russ and Bobby go and it's just like, ‘Sheesh, what mode are we in?' Being able to talk to Pete, being able to understand that we're not in a rebuild mode, we're trying to get this thing back rolling, build a team differently a little bit. Like I said, sucks to see those guys go. Two big leaders, two big guys that's played a critical part of my career. Sucks to see them go, but for me, I had to make a decision based on myself, myself and my family.”

Digg's stance on betting on the Seahawks to bounce back isn't very surprising. What would be surprising, though, is the team getting back to the playoffs. Wilson and Wagner were hugely valuable to the team, especially Wilson because of his ability to carry the team's offense. Although they have some solid players, Seattle is currently lacking a presence at the center of both their offense and defense.

The Seahawks may not bottom out completely but their path to the playoffs this season will be a tough one.
