Earlier this week, New York Giants cornerback DeAndre Baker and Seattle Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar were charged with armed robbery in Florida. Baker turned himself earlier on Saturday, and Dunbar has followed.
According to the Miramar Police Department, Dunbar has surrendered himself to authorities at Broward County Jail. Dunbar faces four counts of armed robbery with a firearm.
Per the arrest warrant, Baker and Dunbar allegedly stole money and watches from a party on Wednesday night while armed with semiautomatic firearms. Baker allegedly intentionally threatened victims with his weapon.
Dunbar was acquired by the Seahawks via trade with the Washington Redskins in March. Seattle sent a fifth-round draft pick to Washington in return.
The 27-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Florida, went undrafted in 2015 but eventually landed with the Redskins as a free agent.
He played in 11 games during his rookie campaign, logging 13 tackles, an interception and five passes defended. The following year, Dunbar was slightly more productive, finishing with 26 tackles, a pick, a fumble recovery and five passes defended through 14 contests.
Dunbar then began to earn even more playing time in 2017, participating in 15 games with four starts and totaling 35 tackles, an interception and eight passes defended. He became a full-time starter for Washington in 2018, but played in just seven contests before seeing his season end due to a leg injury.
The Miami native once again dealt with lower body injuries in 2019, taking the field 11 times and recording 37 tackles, four picks and eight passes defended in what has been his most productive campaign to date.
