Almost immediately after the game started, Seattle Seahawks wide receiver Tyler Lockett was taken off of the field due to injury. Hopefully, he's okay, as the hit looked scary.

Geno Smith threw the ball to Tyler Lockett who looked open in the middle of the field. However, Washington Commanders' cornerback, Emmanuel Forbes, came across the middle and hit Lockett right on the side of the head. As a result, Forbes was ejected from the game, according to Seahawks beat writer, Gregg Bell.

“Commanders CB Emmanuel Forbes ejected for the helmet-to-helmet hit on Tyler Lockett, who is in the tent getting a concussion eval.”

Hits to the head are some of the most dangerous plays in football. Forbes' hit didn't look intentional though. Even so, the referees felt it made sense to remove the Commanders' cornerback from the game.

Although the hit looked scary and dangerous, the Seahawks have officially cleared Lockett to return, per the team Twitter account. That's only good news, as he cleared the Seahawks' concussion protocol.

“Tyler Lockett has been cleared to return.”

So, everyone can breath a sigh of relief. Lockett should return unless the Seahawks want to play it safe or if a different injury pops up. That's something that happened to Denzel Ward during the Cleveland Browns game against the Baltimore Ravens. He entered concussion protocol, passed, but was ruled out with a neck injury.

With that said, keep an eye on Tyler Lockett. The Seahawks need him in the lineup to stay competitive, as he's one of the most consistent wide receivers in the league.
