It was only a matter of time until the Philadelphia Eagles' leaky secondary allowed a big pass from the Seattle Seahawks, Russell Wilson, and DK Metcalf.

In the third quarter of the wild card matchup between the two injury-riddled teams, the Eagles saw the Seahawks do just that. As he's done his entire career, Russell Wilson showed them a beautiful deep ball, which connected with big-play threat rookie D.K. Metcalf.

Watch below. Wilson connects with Metcalf for a 53-yard touchdown.

Wilson found a streaking Metcalf running ahead of his defenders and heading straight towards the goalpost. The rookie hailing from Ole Miss had his man beat, plain and simple. The MVP candidate quarterback took advantage of that, launching up a pretty pass. Metcalf did the rest of the work, muscling his way into the end zone.

After the kick, Metcalf's touchdown put the Seahawks up 17-6 in Philadelphia.

The Seahawks are trying to become the third road team to win on wild card weekend. The Tennessee Titans and Minnesota Vikings scored road wins earlier in the weekend. The Houston Texans are the only home team to have won thus far.
