Just a day after Hollywood lost acting legend James Caan at 82 years old, Sopranos fan-favorite Tony Sirico, who played Paulie on the hit show, died at 79 years old on Friday.

As mentioned, Sirico was connected to the Colombo Crime Family and ultimately spent time in prison at Sing Sing. After that Sirico got into acting and never looked back. He’s well known for his role on The Sopranos as Paul “Paulie Walnuts” Gualtieri, but Tony Sirico also had numerous different roles in other films and shows over the years, including Goodfellas, Casino, and Micky Blue Eyes, among others.

Sirico was born and raised in New York City in 1942 to Italian parents and really seemed to turn his life around once he got out of prison by making a career for himself in the movie biz. By no surprise, Sirico almost always played a gangster or mobster in most roles because of his look and demeanor.

That’s now two huge actors from the Sopranos who have passed away. James Gandolfini died back in 2013 and his son actually just played him in The Many Saints of Newark, which is based on the Sopranos.

Rest in peace Tony Sirico, you will be missed by many around the world and every single follower of the iconic show, The Sopranos.
