The Michigan State Spartans are scheduled to offer Mel Tucker a record-breaking contract. Tucker is the head football coach for the Spartans.

Mel Tucker is going to get offered a 10-year contract extension worth up to $95 million. The 49-year-old will become the highest-paid African American head coach in U.S. Sports.

Mel Tucker has previously coached as the head coach of the University of Colorado and he was also the interim head coach for the Jacksonville Jaguars in the NFL for five games in 2011.

Michigan State is playing great football under Mel Tucker as they are number seven in the country and 9-1 on the season. They were starting to fall off but once Tucker took the program over, they went back to what they used to be. College football fans around the world have questioned if Mel Tucker deserves the same contract as coaches like Nick Saban or Dabo Swinney. Tucker quieted all those questions as he's led Michigan State to a potential College Playoff season.
