After spending 10 years with the San Antonio Spurs, Patty Mills will finally move on to the next chapter of his career after he signed for the title-contending Brooklyn Nets.

The Spurs will always be a classy organization and this was evident as they posted on social media an emotional message regarding Patty Mills' departure.

A chain of tweets from the Spurs social media account surfaced as the organization thanked Patty Mills for his services to the team.

Mills was signed by San Antonio back in 2012 and has notably won an NBA title with the organization in 2014. The heady Australian guard averaged 9.4 points, 1.8 rebounds, and  2.4 assists while shooting 38.9% from behind the arc in his 10-year stay with San Antonio.

The 32-year old guard was a consistent spark off the bench for San Antonio. The six-foot Mills provided a lot of pressure to opposing defenses since he was very quick and agile. He’s also the only Spur to make more than 120 3-pointers in five different seasons.

Patty always stayed ready whenever San Antonio needed him, he was very tenacious as he played all 82 games for them twice.

Mills is very popular with the Spurs organization and fanbase since his infectious enthusiasm and absolute team-first mentality are pretty much commended. His departure was surely felt by the whole organization.
