Stephen Curry misses second straight practice
Curry has been sick for the past week. Through three preseason games, the back-to-back MVP has averaged 11.7 points, 4.3 assists, and 2.3 rebounds in 22 minutes per game.
“It’s been a tough few days,” head coach Steve Kerr told Connor LeTourneau of the San Francisco Chronicle. “He just has not been feeling well. We’re calling in the doctor today for a house call. We’ll see how the next couple days go. We’re hoping that he’ll be ready in the next day or two.”
Luckily for him and the team, the Warriors won’t see another preseason game until Friday’s matchup with the Denver Nuggets at the Pepsi Center.
Even more importantly, Golden State does not face a game with stakes until Oct. 25 when the Warriors host the San Antonio Spurs in their home season opener.
The sharpshooter has been slow through his gears during the first three preseason games, but has been closely monitored by the coaching staff in terms of his general health.
“You can’t control any of this stuff,” Kerr said. “The regular season is still more than two weeks away. Hopefully it’ll resolve quickly, and we’ll get him back on the floor.”
