Phoenix Suns star Chris Paul and his head coach Monty Williams shared an emotional moment as soon as the final buzzer made their series win over the Denver Nuggets official. The 36-year-old court general hugged it out with his long-time mentor as these two all-time greats have now successfully spearheaded a young Phoenix squad all the way to the Western Conference Finals.

This moment was absolutely special (via Phoenix Suns):

You got to give it up to these two, man.

It's been a long and tough journey but the Suns are now one step closer to their ultimate goal of getting to the NBA Finals. Believe it or not, Phoenix is just now eight wins away from lifting their first-ever Larry O'Brien trophy and they wouldn't be in this position if it wasn't for these two.

Since being assigned as the head coach at the start of last season, Williams has slowly changed the atmosphere in The Valley which was highlighted by their incredible run in last season's bubble where they went on an impressive 8-0 run. Acquiring 11-time All-Star in Paul during the off-season was huge for the team and now, it's all beginning to pay off.

But, both Paul and Williams know that the job's far from being finished.

The Suns will have a few days off as they wait for the winner between the Los Angeles Clippers and the Utah Jazz. Look for Paul and the rest of this young Phoenix squad to be ready for battle as they try to make franchise history.
