When Jae Crowder chose to leave the Miami Heat to join the Phoenix Suns last November 2020, he apparently received several messages questioning his decision. After all, he left the reigning Eastern Conference champions to join a team that hasn't make the playoffs in 10 years at the time.

However, look who's a genius now and having a good laugh: Yes, it's the same Crowder.

Speaking to the media after helping the Suns sweep the Denver Nuggets and punch their ticket to the Western Conference Finals, Crowder opened up about his free agency and the harsh reality he faced when he made that decision.

“I know I look like a genius with my decision. When I made the decision, you should’ve seen how many text messages I got like, ‘What am I doing? Why are you going to Phoenix?' They haven’t made the playoffs in 10 years,” Crowder shared, per Michael Scotto of Hoops Hype.

Jae Crowder surely has every right to brag. Besides, not every team can say they were able to beat the reigning NBA champions and sweep the MVP in back-to-back series. also, it's not like Crowder was carried as well since he is playing a crucial starting role for the Suns.

In Game 4 on Sunday against the Nuggets, Crowder was actually really phenomenal as he recorded nine points, 10 rebounds and four blocks.

Obviously, the confidence of Crowder and the Suns are at an all-time high. Sure, the job is far from over. It's not like Phoenix has already won the championship. But hey, let's give them this moment to enjoy.
