The Zion vs Wemby matchup last night was pretty epic

Knicks/Celtics and Lakers/Wolves looked 4K on Prime. Pelicans/Spurs looked 480p on local TV. National networks are a big W so far. But the next thing @NBA needs to force to improve is the quality of regional broadcasts. Every game should look amazing.

Quick thoughts after the Pelicans fall to the Spurs in OT

Zion vs. Wemby tonight

I mean they’re not as good as the teams they’re competing against. Not sure what the excuse is. It’s no one’s fault but their own. Whether it’s due to roster, coaching or karma I don’t really know, but the Pels are not as good as most of their counterparts in the West.

Pelicans 3-pointers 1st half: 7-16 2nd half + OT: 3-16 This team has to find a way to get more production from beyond the arc.

Final: Spurs 120, Pelicans 116 (OT) Williamson 27 pts, 10 rebs, 7 assts Murphy 24 pts, 10 rebs, 5 assts Poole 21 pts, 5 assts Spurs escape w/ the win despite losing Wemby at the start of OT. Pels put up a strong fight despite only playing one center the entire night. Fears and Queen provided some solid minutes. A lot of positives from these first two games. Pels still 0-2 tho.

End of 1st quarter: Spurs 30, Pelicans 27 Poole 11 pts (2-4 3PT) Williamson 5 pts (2-6 FG) Murphy 5 pts, 2 assts Really entertaining start to this game. Wemby (4 pts, 3 rebs) and Zion are really going at each other. Pels are bringing the physicality early on and making things difficult for Wemby. The only problem is that the focus on Wemby has opened up opportunities for others.

Hard to not be excited about what Fears is showing through two games of his NBA career.
