Taylor Swift fans know how to make a showstopping moment. One Swiftie couple got engaged at her Edinburgh concert on June 7, and the singer made the occasion even more special as she spotted the couple from the stage.

Swift was in the middle of performing “Cardigan,” from her 2020 album Folklore when two fans decided to take the next step in their relationship.

“I love performing this entire show in the sunlight because I’m pretty sure I saw somebody get engaged over here,” Swift said, gesturing to the excited couple. “Did it happen? Yes!”

She continued: “You have no idea [how excited I am]. I never get to see that because it’s like dark usually at night, but it’s not right now. So congratulations, wow! I just saw that whole thing. Man, that’s amazing.”

Are Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift getting married soon?

Earlier this year, rumors began that Travis Kelce, Swift's boyfriend which they have been dating since last summer, were getting engaged. Back in January, a source told Page Six that the two are planning to get married next month.

“Taylor and Travis discussed it, and there is a plan,” the insider claimed.

The source added: “They will get engaged on their one-year anniversary in July.”

However, despite reports, a source revealed that the two are not getting married this summer.

“Travis and Taylor have no plans on getting engaged this summer,” a source told Us Weekly at the time. “Things between them are going amazing, but they haven’t even been together for a year yet and still have so much to learn about each other.”

Kelce later responded to the rumors himself the following month.

“Is there going to be another ring besides the Super Bowl ring if you win this thing on Sunday?” a reporter asked the Kansas City Chiefs tight end during a press conference on Monday, Feb. 5. Kelce responded:  “I’m focused on getting this ring, and that’s all that my mind’s focused on right now.”

While it's pretty clear that the couple are not making plans to tie the knot soon, it still came up earlier this month in a comedy skit at the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend with Kelce, Jason Sudeikis, and comedians Robert Smigel and George Wendt.

“Travis, real talk, okay, just the guys here,” the Ted Lasso star said to Kelce, adding, “When are you going to make an honest woman out of her?” Sudeikis continued.

“Taylor doesn’t need to be working anymore and, again, I know your kicker agrees with me. He gets it,” Sudeikis said referring to the controversial statements that Kelce's teammate Harrison Butker spoke about women and marriage during a recent college commencement speech.

Last month, a source told Us Weekly that Kelce doesn't want to rush to marriage.

“Travis has no plans on proposing to Taylor anytime soon,” an insider shared with Us Weekly back in May. “It’s not even on his radar. Marriage is something he takes very seriously and not something he would ever just jump into without giving it some careful consideration.”
