The Houston Texans fell to the Indianapolis Colts in the Wild Card Round of the NFL playoffs on Saturday, putting an end to an impressive 2018-19 campaign. However, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien is not taking any solace in the fact that they had a good year:

That is especially true when you win your division and lose at home in the playoffs, as Houston did on Saturday.

The Texans went 11-5 this season, capturing the AFC South division title. Now the Colts came into Saturday's action as the hottest team in the NFL and have now won 10 of their last 11 games overall.

However, you can understand O'Brien's frustration, as you play all season long for the opportunity to earn home field in the playoffs, and when you let it slip through your fingers, it's disheartening.

Still, the Texans have a very bright future with Deshaun Watson at quarterback and DeAndre Hopkins leading the receiving corps. Plus, Houston has a terrific defense, although it does have some decisions to make there in free agency.

The Texans have won the AFC South in three of the last four years, and this season, they miraculously overcame a 0-3 start, reeling off nine straight wins afterward to grab a stranglehold on the division.

However, Houston slumped a bit to end the season, going 2-2 over its final two weeks.

The Texans have also not had much playoff success in their franchise history. Since being an NFL team in 2002, Houston has never made it past the Divisional Round.
