The Houston Texans are off to a sluggish 0-3 start to the 2020 season and the offense has looked out of sorts thus far. With the offense needing a spark, Bill O'Brien is taking matters into his own hands, per NFL Network's Ian Rapoport.

Tim Kelly, who was hired as the offensive coordinator of the Texans in 2019, has been calling plays in 2020. However, similar to what he did a season ago, O'Brien will now have control over what calls are played in the offense.

The offense, led by Deshaun Watson, has failed to put together a game of consistent success. The former No. 12 overall pick has combined for 792 passing yards, four passing touchdowns, and three interceptions.

Above all, Houston currently boasts the 28th ranked offense in terms of yards gained per game. At the same time, they have scored just 19 points per game, which is 29th in the NFL so far this season.

Of course, it's important to note that the Texans have played an extremely tough schedule in the first three weeks. After kicking off the season against the Kansas City Chiefs, Houston has faced the Baltimore Ravens and the Pittsburgh Steelers in back-to-back weeks.

In light of that, the Texans aren't too concerned with being 0-3 despite the odds being against them in making the playoffs. Regardless of their record though, Houston is anxious to get going on the offensive side of the ball. And if O'Brien can't get his offense to perform better against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday, the seat could get hot for the offensive-minded coach.
