Former Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Brandin Cooks has made his way around the league to begin his NFL career as the Houston Texans newcomer has already been traded multiple times. Suiting up for both the New Orleans Saints and New England Patriots as well, Cooks now has yet another prolific signal-caller to line up alongside in Texans franchise quarterback Deshaun Watson.

Although Cooks and Watson have yet to play a single down together as the 2020-21 campaign currently looms large, it is clear that the veteran pass-catcher thinks quite highly of his new Texans teammate.

“He's a tough guy and a warrior,” Cooks recently said of Watson, via James Palmer of NFL.com. “No matter what is going on, as long as the play is alive, he's never going to stop. But what I've felt right off the bat, is this guy is smart. Hearing the questions that coach asks him in these meetings and how quick he's able to just fire off the answers. It's really impressive. You think, as a young guy, he would struggle with some of that. But I got to tell you, he's right on the money every single time with questions being asked. That says a lot, especially at the quarterback position.”

The Texans will certainly need all of the production possible from the tandem of Watson and Cooks in 2020 as the AFC South division will be pretty competitive this time around. Not only that, but Cooks will be forced to fill the void by current Arizona Cardinals wideout DeAndre Hopkins, who was traded away by the Texans earlier in the offseason.
