Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson sent out yet another cryptic tweet as the football world awaits further action regarding his future.
Watson tweeted a picture of himself with the caption “I been trying to have some patience, I told my momma she should pray on it.”

It is hard to glean much from this, though it is worth wondering whether the “patience” Watson mentions refers directly to the Texans. Then again, “patience” could simply refer to Watson biding his time until Houston finds a trade partner.
There has been an abundance of speculation suggesting Watson's days with the Texans are numbered. Adam Schefter of ESPN reported there was a “growing sense” within the organization Deshaun Watson had played his final snaps for Houston.
There is a growing sense from people in and around the Texans’ organization that Deshaun Watson has played his last snap for the team. It’s early in the off-season, there’s a lot of time left, but Watson’s feelings cannot and should not be underestimated.

Additionally, Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported teams have already been calling the Texans inquiring about Watson's status. However, Rapoport noted the Texans have “no desire” to trade the star signal-caller, at least at present.

Watson has not been shy about expressing his displeasure with the franchise following the decision to hire Nick Caserio as GM. He directly referenced a report from Schefter suggesting his anger level had gone from a “2” to a “10.”
That tweet came almost immediately after Texans owner Cal McNair issued a statement of support for executive vice president of football operations Jack Easterby, who has come under fire in recent weeks.

Alternatively, there is a slim possibility Watson's reference of “patience” has to do with seeing how Caserio and McNair will commit to building a new culture around him in the coming years.
In any case, the Deshaun Watson trade saga could be every bit as long and dramatic as was the case with James Harden and the Houston Rockets.
