Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson's social media presence could be making fans nervous following the sudden departure of former teammate DeAndre Hopkins.

Hopkins, 27, was traded the other week to the Arizona Cardinals in a much-derided deal that saw veteran running back David Johnson arrive in Houston. The Texans, without a first-round pick in the 2020 NFL Draft and still without one after the Hopkins trade, put the 24-year-old former Clemson standout Watson in a difficult place after breaking him up with his No. 1 wideout.

Watson shared a quote from hip-hop artist Drake on Monday morning, raising eyebrows about his current relationship with the Texans:

“[I] don't know how [I'ma] make it out of here clean. Can’t even keep track of who plays for the other team. Iconic duos rip and split at the seams.”

The lyrics, from Drake's 2018 “Emotionless” off Scorpion, could signal Watson's dissatisfaction with the Texans following the breakup with Hopkins. Over the past three seasons with Watson as his primary pass-deliverer under under, Hopkins recorded 315 catches for over 4,000 receiving yards, scoring 31 touchdowns en route to three consecutive Pro Bowl appearances and first-team All-Pro selections.

Watson, of the Texans, has already been rumored to be interested in the New England Patriots' starting quarterback position after future Hall of Fame gunslinger Tom Brady signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Watson was noticed “liking” a tweet linking him to New England on Monday as well.
