After giving up an early lead to the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Houston Texans have retaken the lead in the Week 5 game courtesy of a connection between quarterback Deshaun Watson and tight end Darren Fells.

The play, which began at the Jaguars’ 44-yard line, began with Watson finding Fells and the wide-open tight end sprinting toward the end zone as Jacksonville defenders scrambled to get close to him.

After the play, Watson has made 11 of his 14 passes for 150 passing yards and one touchdown with no interceptions. Fells, meanwhile, has two receptions and for 57 yards so far for Houston.

After a scoreless first quarter, the Texans were forced to settle for a field goal early in the second quarter for their first points of the game. But in their very next drive, the Texans would not be denied this time, as they retook the lead after Jaguars quarterback Gardner Minshew’s touchdown pass to wide receiver Keelan Cole Sr to give Jacksonville a 7-3 lead.

This marks the Texans’ first game after firing head coach and general manager Bill O’Brien, with interim coach Romeo Crennel taking over coaching duties.

After losing their first four games this season, including a 31-23 defeat to the previously winless Minnesota Vikings in Week 4, the Texans remain in the hunt for their first win of the season, joining the Atlanta Falcons, New York Jets, and New York Giants as the only winless teams through Week 5.

But early on against the Jaguars, Watson and Fells are looking to change that.
