Josh Giddey didn't exactly have the most headline-grabbing stat line on Monday night against the Portland Trail Blazers. The Oklahoma City Thunder rookie notched a solid double-double with 14 points and 12 rebounds with four assists while shooting 5-for-12 from the field.

But on the same night, Josh Giddey managed to rewrite history on not one, but two records held by former league MVPs.

With his 11th double-double of the season, Giddey passed Thunder icon Russell Westbrook for the most by a rookie in franchise history. While this doesn't exactly mean that he'll be racking up triple-doubles on the same level as the Brodie in the future, it certainly points to his all-around abilities this early in his career.

Josh Giddey also entered LeBron James territory in his 45th career game. The Thunder rookie is the youngest to tally 500 points, 200 rebounds and 200 assists through 45 games since King James did it nearly two decades ago.

Interestingly enough, Giddey did it in just 44 games played thus far and was well over the threshold for rebounds and assists before eclipsing the 500-point mark on Monday. He's totaled 511 points, 334 rebounds and 268 assists through his first 44 games with the Thunder.

Giddey joins LeBron on the four-man list of teenagers who did the feat, alongisde Luka Doncic and LaMelo Ball. Not bad company to be in at all.

Thunder fans certainly have a lot to be excited about with Josh Giddey. Between him, Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the one million or so first-round picks they still have both to draft and to use as trade capital in the future, the future is bright in OKC.
