The NFL season outlook for the Tennessee Titans became far more bleak when news surfaced that star running back Derrick Henry suffered a Jones fracture in his foot during his team's Week 8 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
The Titans have managed to go 2-0 without Henry in the lineup- and now get some good news in regards to the status of their star halfback. A recent update by ESPN NFL reporter Dianna Russini shows that the Derrick Henry injury timing could actually be a blessing in disguise for the Titans.
"There is optimism that [Derrick Henry] will be back early January. That is perfect timing for this team for playoffs to begin."
@diannaESPN fully believes that the Tennessee Titans are the best team in the AFC.

That would not only be excellent news for the Titans, but also for fantasy managers with Derrick Henry on their teams. Being the freak of nature that he is, Henry has a chance to be back on the field just in time to help the Titans make a playoff run. Is anyone surprised?
If the Titans, who already own impressive wins over playoff-bound NFC teams such as the Los Angeles Rams and New Orleans Saints, can simply just stay in the playoff picture, they'll have a real shot of representing the AFC in the Super Bowl. With two games left against the lowly Houston Texans, and one against the Jacksonville Jaguars, Tennessee has a great shot of staying atop their division.
What started out as devastating injury news could now turn out to be a blessing for the Titans.
