Derrick Henry is putting together another productive season with the Tennessee Titans, but it hasn't been enough to garner a new contract. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, Henry and the Titans haven't spoken about a contract extension yet.

Henry currently has 1,140 rushing yards on 232 carries and 11 touchdowns through the first 13 weeks. The bruising back has also hauled in a career-high 17 receptions for 200 yards and two touchdowns.

To go along with his numbers in 2019, Henry also provided the Titans with 1,158 yards and 12 touchdowns in 2018. The Alabama product has quickly become one of the NFL's most dominant running backs.

Despite being the third-leading rusher in the NFL this year, Tennessee hasn't opened contract talks with Henry. This shouldn't come as a surprise with the Titans being a team who doesn't like to talk contracts during the season.

The former second-round pick is in the final year of his rookie contract and is set to make only $1.1 million in 2019. Without a doubt, Henry will command more money on his next contract.

In recent years, we've seen the likes of Todd Gurley, Le'Veon Bell, and Ezekiel Elliott earn more than $13 million annually on their new deals. Therefore, it's wise to believe that Henry ends up coming close to those numbers on his next payday.

Besides Henry, the Titans also have to decide on what they want to do with Ryan Tannehill and Marcus Mariota in free agency. Considering how Tannehill has played, it's likely that Tennessee will retain the veteran quarterback for the 2020 season.

Fans of the Titans may be concerned with the lack of talks between both sides. But with how he's performed in the past two seasons, Tennessee will undoubtedly do everything they can to keep Henry beyond 2019.
