Merab Dvalishvili is turning into a hot prospect in the UFC's bantamweight division and he has a tough wrestling game that's given most opponents problems so far. Recently, he was asked about Sean O'Malley and he did not hold back.

Merab Dvalishvili was recently on The MMA Hour where he was asked about fighting Sean O'Malley in the future. The UFC bantamweight obviously loves the idea of fighting him but ‘Sugar' does currently have a fight booked.

“I would love to fight ‘Sugar’ Sean O’Malley but he has a fight already. He’s ducking me for three years. Last three years, I’ve been calling him. Who else? Maybe, I would love to fight ‘Chito’ Vera. I would love a fight with Dominick Cruz, Cory Sandhagen.”

Sean O'Malley is a fight that could potentially happen in the future with Merab Dvalishvili looking for the biggest fights he can. The UFC has been looking to build both men up the division as they have plenty of potential.

The current title picture at bantamweight is tricky for Merab Dvalishvili as his friend and training partner, Aljamain Sterling is the current champion. There is no situation where the Georgian UFC fighter would fight his friend, even if it's for the title.

“I’m blessed I have friends like him. What else should I say? It already says everything because that’s how true of a friend he is and he’s the best. I learn so much from him and still learning everything. He’s the reason why I’m like, where I fight now and I’m just thankful, grateful. He’s a great man, we never fight each other”

“I don’t even think about title yet. As long as Aljo is champion and Aljo will be champion long as he wants to be.”
