How Paddy Pimblett wins the fight
After turning down contracts to join the UFC in 2016 and 2018, “Paddy the Baddy” finally makes his debut. There has been hype surrounding him throughout his entire career so far. Pimblett is a very well-rounded fighter who has five KO/TKO and seven submission victories under his belt. He's dangerous everywhere inside the octagon and he hopes to show off his skills in his first UFC event.
Paddy Pimblett has a slight height advantage, so he's roughly the same size as his opponent. This is a great matchup, as Vendramini is also a well-rounded fighter. Even so, Pimblett will likely start the fight patiently. Once he has a good read on his opponent, “Paddy the Baddy” will open up with vicious strikes. He's likely to keep it on the feet, but if it goes to the ground, Pimblett is more than capable of securing a submission victory.
How Luigi Vendramini wins the fight
“The Italian Stallion” has had it rough to kick off his UFC career. In his three fights within the organization, Luigi Vendramini has gone 1-2. He needs a bounce-back victory on Saturday and a win over Paddy Pimblett would be huge. His versatility is an asset in this matchup, as Vendramini is rather solid everywhere in the cage.
Even so, Vendramini's best chance of winning this fight is to take it to the mat. He should come out aggressive and look to get a takedown immediately. Pimblett is solid on the ground, so as long as the “Italian Stallion” can maintain dominant positions on top, he should be able to get back in the win column.
