Lincoln Riley and Caleb Willams are primed to bring the USC football program its first national championship in 19 years. That's, at least, what many college football bettors seem to believe. The USC football team has received more bets than any other team to win the 2023-2024 national championship at SuperBook, according to ESPN.

The USC football team enters Week 1 of the 2023 season with 10/1 odds at SuperBook to win the national title. USC's odds had been 16/1, but they improved amid the massive amount of bets made on the Trojans. Only Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State and Michigan have better national championship odds at the sportsbook.

“USC has just been getting hammered,” John Murray, executive director of the SuperBook told ESPN.

Riley and Williams led the Trojans to their best season in five years in 2022. Williams won the Heisman Trophy by throwing for 4,537 yards and producing 52 touchdowns.

The USC football team kicked off the 2023 season by blowing out San Jose State 56-28. They host Nevada in Week 2.

The Trojans are trying to make their first-ever College Football Playoff appearance.

The national championship odds differ across various sportsbooks. The USC football team has 20/1 odds at FanDuel Sportsbook to be the last team standing in the College Football Playoffs. There is, however, a consensus national championship favorite.

Georgia is given the best chance to win the College Football Playoff national championship game. Doing so would give the Bulldogs a third straight title. Georgia has +220 odds at FanDuel and +240 odds at SuperBook.
