The Charlotte Hornets got off to a hot start on the season. As of late though, they have struggled to put points up and are in the midst of a four game losing streak. Their offense looks egregious for a team that has been one of the better offenses in the league. In a loss versus the Miami Heat on Saturday night, emotions were running high and James Bouknight had to be held back by LaMelo Ball from going at James Borrego.

James Bouknight hasn't seen the floor a ton this season, so maybe that could be what the heated exchange was about. When James Borrego was asked about it postgame, he said ā€œhe got a little emotional there and I'll leave at that.ā€

ā€œHe's in a tough spot, he obviously wants to play. He's a kid we believe in, we trust him and we're gonna find more minutes for him. I want get into the specifics, but just a competitor trying to help this team,ā€ the Hornets coach furthered.

Borrego did appear to defuse the situation and didn't wish to comment any further . The Heat went on to win the game 104-86, so there are several other issues for Borrego to worry about.

However, Bouknight's situation is odd, especially for a guy that is usually laidback. Being a young player in the NBA can be tough. There are stretches where you may not play for five to 10 games, but you're expected to be ready. The frustration is understandable coming from Bouknight. He just needs to remain patient and believe in the system. His time will come.
