Draymond Green isn't reciprocating feelings when it comes to the Houston Rockets. The Golden State Warriors' system wasn't made to go through the Rockets nor was the goal to reach the Western Conference Finals — it was an expectation, having done so the last three years.

“We won two championships in three years, we're not about to run off talking about how bad we want to play somebody, we want to win another championship,” Green said, according to Abhinav Kini of The International Business Times. “It don't matter who's in the way of that, if you in the way of that, you happen to be in the way.”

“But we're not about to run around like ‘yeah, we want to play them in the Conference Finals' — for what? It don't matter to us who we play. However, we got them. Aight, now let's get it. We got a goal, whoever is in the way of the goal, we got to see you, you got to see us. Now they in the way. Perfect.”

Green's mindset is beyond a WCF matchup, but an eventual return to the NBA Finals and a second consecutive championship, after the opportunity was squandered in 2016. Conquering those demons will be a lot close to his personal end goal than a battle against Chris Paul and James Harden, which won't take place until Monday — giving the coaching staff plenty of time to device a plan of attack.
