The Golden State Warriors are coming off yet another incredible season in which they were able to lift the Larry O'Brien Trophy for the second time in three years. Although the Warriors are considered to be the best team in the league, the team and its star players like Draymond Green aimed to make the roster that much better this past summer.

One of the most notable additions to the Warriors squad was Nick Young. The veteran guard/forward played the last four seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers and wanted to a chance to compete for a title after a solid season under Luke Walton. Golden State gives him that opportunity and Green, during Media Day on Friday, explained why he recruited Young during the offseason, via Mark Medina of The Mercury News.

Bringing in Young adds yet another capable scorer off the bench for the Warriors who can also be a force from beyond the arc. The 32-year-old journeyman played 60 games for the Lakers last season and put up impressive numbers in the process.

One of the newest members of the Warriors' roster shot 40.4 percent from three-point territory last season. Young averaged 13.2 points while shooting 43 percent from the floor and being known as a great teammate in Los Angeles.

Although Young isn't a total game changer for the Warriors, the veteran addition to the team adds more offensive firepower and a player familiar with the system after spending a year under Walton in Los Angeles.
