Golden State Warriors power forward Draymond Green says he has heard some people are saying the Warriors won't make the playoffs next season.

Green says it's “crazy” to hear stuff like that:

The Warriors lost two-time Finals MVP Kevin Durant to the Brooklyn Nets in free agency this summer. Golden State also traded 2015 Finals MVP Andre Iguodala to the Memphis Grizzlies and will be without star shooting guard Klay Thompson for a big chunk of the 2019-20 season. Thompson is recovering from an ACL tear he suffered in Game 6 of the 2019 NBA Finals.

The Warriors were able to acquire All-Star point guard D'Angelo Russell from the Nets in the sign-and-trade deal involving Durant. Russell will start alongside Stephen Curry and Draymond Green. Nothing is set in stone, but newcomer Willie Cauley-Stein will likely start at the center spot for the Dubs. The Warriors can start either Alfonzo McKinnie or Alec Burks at the small forward spot.

The Western Conference is loaded more than usual next season. The Los Angeles Lakers, Los Angeles Clippers and Houston Rockets each have two superstars on their rosters. The Utah Jazz acquired Mike Conley from the Grizzlies, so they're going to be a force next season as well.

The Warriors are underdogs for the first time in years. It's going to be fun to watch Curry, Green and Russell try to lead the Dubs in the rugged West while Thompson rehabs his injury.
