Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green is not done with his tirade against controversial broadcaster Chris Russo, who earlier stated on ESPN's First Take that he wants Green to “shut up and play.” Russo got absolutely dunked on by co-host JJ Redick and right now, it's Green's turn to spew fire on the highly-polarizing sports radio personality.

Redick called Russo out immediately on the show after the former came out with his controversial statement about Green. Redick already implied that Russo's comments were racially-charged and now Green has taken the conversation to the next level:

“I'm not one to really pull the race card very often because I think we all know the role that race play in the world that we live in,” said the Warriors star on the latest episode of The Draymond Green Show. “That definitely had a very racist connotation. Those ‘shut up and play,' ‘shut up and dribble' days, those are long gone. We don't listen to that anymore. We don't wanna hear it anymore. It has no place here nor will it be tolerated.”

Green then went on to reveal that he turned down an offer from ESPN to join First Take before he eventually signed a deal with Turner. According to the Warriors star, Russo should be happy that he didn't want his job. Otherwise, Russo would probably not have been on the show to begin with.
