Count Jerry West to the list of people that believes Golden State Warriors star Stephen Curry is already Hall of Fame worthy.

A discussion whether or not the two-time NBA MVP has reached that level yet opened up last month, when Michael Jordan publicly claimed that Curry “is not a Hall of Famer yet”.

West ,who saw firsthand Curry’s ascent to superstardom during his term as executive for the Warriors, recently weighed in on the issue in an appearance on the Rich Eisen show.

“I think if you saw Michael’s reaction, he smiled, and I think he knows he’s a Hall of Famer,” West said. “He has not been selected yet, but he will be … Steph Curry is a no-brainer. I think Michael knows that.”

Fellow Hall of Famer Magic Johnson earlier iterated that Jordan believes otherwise, and the current Charlotte Hornets majority owner was just cautious of being liable by the league for tampering.

Apart from being named the  best player of the league twice, Curry also has three championships, six All-Star selections, and three All-NBA first team selections, among other awards.

The 31-year-old sharpshooter, however, will be out for the next three months after going under the knife for a broken left hand he suffered in Golden State’s 121-110 beating at the hands of the Phoenix Suns on Wednesday.

It has been some trying times indeed for coach Steve Kerr and the rest of the Dubs, losing major key players to injury and going on a dreadful 1-3 run to start the season.
