Kevin Durant of the Golden State Warriors suggested plays for Stephen Curry and head coach Steve Kerr welcomed his opinions.

Per Anthony Slater of The Athletic, Durant confirmed that he called out plays for Curry, who was red hot all game long against the Mavericks. Durant noted that it's a common practice within the team that players suggest plays and the coaching staff implements them without hesitation.

Further, Durant shared that while Kerr provides the “overall template” for each play, the players themselves spot little details within these plays and work their way around it. Overall, it's a collaborative effort between the coaching staff and the players themselves.

For those following the Warriors, there have been several instances wherein Kerr gave his players a chance to set up a play during a timeout. He even hands them the basketball clipboard and gives them complete freedom in drawing up a play.

In their win over the Mavericks, Curry finished with 48 points and shot 11-of-19 from downtown. Durant, for his part, had 28 points, seven rebounds, and five assists. Klay Thompson had 16 points and four rebounds.

The Warriors will visit the Denver Nuggets on Tuesday, which might be a preview of the Western Conference Finals.
