Golden State Warriors superstar guards Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson are already the greatest shooting backcourt of all time and their playing careers aren't even done yet.
Neither Curry nor Thompson has ego issues to where one of them will get jealous or upset if the other guy is taking more shots or averaging more points. Klay and Steph are the definition of a real dynamic duo.
Klay's dad, Los Angeles Lakers radio commentator Mychal Thompson, says Klay wants to retire with the Warriors after another 10 years and loves everything about Curry, both as a player and man.
“Klay loves playing with Steph, he respects him so much,” Mychal Thompson said on Dell and Sonya Curry's podcast Raising Fame. “He talks about him all the time and how hard he works, how dedicated he is to the game and to his family. He has said it to me in private that he loves playing with Steph and he wants to retire as a Warrior after another 10 years.
“He wants to go into the Hall of Fame along with Steph. That's how close he feels to him and how honored he is to play with him. They have formed a special bond. That's why I told him, I said, ‘Even though you're going to probably miss this year, you and Steph will still have eight years together as long as you take care of your bodies.' “
Klay Thompson and Stephen Curry have won three titles together on the Warriors. The duo will be eager to win even more once basketball is played again and Thompson has recovered from his ACL tear.
Curry has been with the Warriors since 2009. He has career averages of 23.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 6.6 assists with the Dubs.
Thompson, meanwhile, has been a Warrior since 2011. The 30-year-old has career numbers of 19.5 points, 3.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists with Golden State.
