The Western Conference Finals cannot come any sooner. This highly-anticipated match-up between arguably the two best teams this season has been labelled by some as the “real” NBA finals.

As we all wait for Monday night, analysts and casual fans alike have put in their two cents worth on the numerous factors that will have a significant impact on how this series will play out. Even former MVP Stephen Curry shared his thoughts on how he believes the Houston Rockets intend to exploit his defense.

Here’s the tweet from Oakland-based sports writer Mark Medina:

Curry is considered to be one of the best offensive players to ever grace the basketball court. Per Basketball-Reference.com, he set the record for the most three-pointers made in a single season by draining a grand total of 402 triples in the 2015-16 season. Offense won’t be a problem for him and it’s hard to imagine how the Rockets, or any team for that matter, can shut down such a talented scorer.

However, there are some critics who have pinpointed Curry’s defense as the dent in his armor. The former Davidson standout recognizes this and based on his response he seems unfazed. In fact, it appears that he’s well prepared for whatever the Rockets throw at his defense.

Confidence has never been an issue for the 30-year-old. Going against one of the most potent backcourt combinations in NBA history in the form of current MVP front-runner James Harden and 9-time All-Star Chris Paul is yet another challenge to be relished for Curry.

Fasten your seat belts folks; this is going to be a good one.
