Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were just two of a handful of Golden State Warriors players that joined in on the peaceful protests in Oakland on Wednesday.

Steph was joined by his wife, Ayesha, as the Curry's reflected on their experience via their respective Instagram accounts.

Stephen Curry first sent a shout out to teammate Juan Toscano-Anderson for organizing the rally. The former two-time Most Valuable Player winner then went on to remind everybody about the important role each person will have to play in the fight against any and all forms of social injustice.

As for Ayesha, she shared her rollercoaster of emotions during the rally, which was brought about by the fact that the locations they were protesting in were the very same streets they traversed during the championship parades of the Warriors. There were certainly no celebrations on Wednesday.

Finally, Ayesha sent out a strong message at the end of her statement about the need to vote. The protests and what they stand for are a necessity at this point, but so is each American's obligation to vote.

With all that is going on in society today, basketball has taken a back seat. It's great that the NBA is finally well on its way to carry on with the season (despite Steph and the Warriors being noticeably absent), but at the same time, the problems we are all facing as a nation is something that takes precedence to basketball, and perhaps nearly anything and everything else for that matter.
